Can't say enough good things about this place! We walked up the beach for drinks and dinner and were treated like family. Great service, food, music and an amazing sunset! Mateo was so gracious to help us with some financial issues. This is a must go if you want a wonderful La Manzanilla experience!
Would give seven stars if I could! Mateo is an incredible host and his accomodations are top tier. We rented Casita number 1 and loved every minute. It was our first time in la Manzanilla and Mateo went above and beyond to help us see the area and have an unforgettable experience. Both the casita and the restaurant/bar were awesome and the super nice staff made it even better. I highly recommend crocodile casitas if you're looking for a chill, beautiful and amazing experience in la Manzanilla

After an eight day stay in casita #2, all I can do is add to the tower of accolades that Mateo and the Crocodile Casitas so richly deserve! From the very beginning Mateo made it clear that it was his desire to give us the best possible experience he could and he delivered completely on that promise! And clearly we are not alone as recipients of his open-hearted hosting! Reading through all the other reviews will give a very good idea of what a great job he and his staff are doing and in what a fabulous setting they are doing it! (I generally don't end evey sentence with an exclamation mark but in this case it's absolutely deserved!) Muchas gracias Mateo!
Me and my friends just spent a delightful two days at this very cool small resort. Mateo is a great host who goes to great lengths to make your stay as happy and peaceful as possible. The venue is small and quiet and basic but it’s on the most beautiful beach and it’s clean and secure and the food is excellent. As Mateo says it’s not five star but it’s simplicity makes it very special. It’s five star in atmosphere and service and view. A truly good place to stay.
Mateo, Juan Carlo, & Christine (family) and crew are amazing. Delicious food, great vibe, “live music (nightly)” and hospitality. Happy Hour is 3-4 weekdays, and one of the best laces to hang.
Unreal experience. Spent 5 nights in Casita #1 which is basically brand new. Had all the necessities such as clean linens, hot/good water pressure, cooking essentials, quiet, safe, GREAT ac unit. Mateo was such an amazing host he really cares about his business and will help you in any way he can. Highlights included amazing breakfast every morning, caring/knowledgable staff, safe swimming right in front, and of course the unbeatable view from bed. Spending everyday on the porch watching the waves never got old. 5 nights at this place was not enough!
We had another fabulous night out! After last week we said, that was impressive but is it consistent? We found out tonight… Mateo and his excellent crew made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy listening and dancing to the great musical vibes of Salvador while enjoying the fabulous sunset! Does it get any better than that?
